]]> Comment on Scrap Quilt Tutorial by Jandi http://jandidean.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/scrap-quilt-tutorial/#comment-141 Sat, 07 May 2011 05:07:57 +0000 http://jandidean.wordpress.com/?p=142#comment-141 It has been so long since I made this quilt…..I believe that you will need 1 1/4- 1 1/2 yards of fabric for the backing.  To figure out the backing, simply measure the finished dimensions of your quilt top and add 3 inches to the height and 3 inches to the width (add 6 inches to these if you are having it quilted on a longarm).  This will give you the exact measurement for the quilt backing.  For your binding, you will need 1/4 yard fabric if you are cutting your binding strips 2 1/2 inches wide.  There are many great tutorials online that will show you how to make and attatch quilt binding online if you don’t already have a preferred method.  Please email me if you have any more questions!
